Weather Advisory: A weather advisory has been isssued for our area for Tuesday, January 6th.  Please refer to the inclement weather policy below for information regarding changes in operation.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

FALL REMINDERS

  • Arrival time is 9 a.m.
    Programs begin in all classes at this time. Parents must call in if their children will be late and are limited to 3 call-ins per month (with the exception of a doctor's written verification).

  • Lateness due to doctors' appointments require advance notice and written verification.

  • You are welcome to send breakfast for your child if your arrival time is before 8:30 a.m.

  • Children arriving after Noon are rexpected to have lunch prior to arrival.

  • Parents must provide us with ALL contact telephone numbers. Notify the office immediately when information changes.

  • Families must sign children in and out daily.

  • No medication of any kind will be administered without a physician's authorization form.

  • Parents of the infants and toddler classes are responsible for completing and returning the daily report to their child's teacher every day.

  • Exercise caution when driving on the parking lot -- especially around the curve leading to and from the playground area.

  • Questions, suggestions, or concerns regarding classroom operation should first be directed to your child's teachers. If matters remain unresolved, you should then contact Nan Colbert (team coordinator for the pre-school, and school-age unit) or Griselda Griner (team coordinator for the infant-twos unit).

SSPC-CC Is A Nut-Free Facility
We will no longer provide foods made with nuts, peanuts, or peanut byproducts. Meals provided by parents will be thoroughly examined for contents and will not be served if they contain nuts or peanut products. This exclusion includes snacks and treats sent to the center for special events, i.e. holiday parties and pot lucks.

Head Start Spaces Available
We've got room in our community-based program for income-eligible children who will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2008. Contact Nan Colbert our coordinator of the pre-school/school-age unit for more information, 301-439-2942.
